The real estate business is changing!!!  It may have been changing before this latest economic down turn, but the over inventory of homes for sale has further exposed the trend.  For many years, Realtors held the keys to seeing the inside of a home for sale.  If you wanted to purchase a home, you searched through the print advertisement trying to find a home by evaluating one small picture and a very brief description.  When you found one, you called a Realtor to let you see the inside and ultimately decide you needed to go look at more of those little pictures.  Some of you have experienced the three day tour with an agent, looking at twenty-five or thirty houses, trying to find the right one for you.  Today, according to the National Association of Realtors, 32% of buyers are finding a home on the internet.  Only 34% are finding a home through a real estate agent. 

What does that mean for you?  If you want to sell your home, you need some one that can market your home in the most locations on the web and present it in the most exciting ways.  Is your home getting maximum exposure in places like realtor.com or youtube.  Are you using Social Media, such as Facebook, to advertise your house?  If you are buying a home, don't think you don't need a Realtor because you can find your new home online.  You are about to spend thousands of dollars!!!  You could lose a years salary if you make a wrong move.  Real Estate contracts are legal documents committing you to hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Finding the right home for you is just the beginning!!!!
